Leaving A Mark Behind

I had the opportunity to attend a Christian college in the United States for my bachelor’s degree. During my time there I was able to meet some of the most wonderful people I’ve gotten in contact with in my life. One of those people was recently killed in one of the major injustices in the US. I did not get the chance to spend much time with him, however I looked up to him because of his sincerity and humble personality. He was a very influential student on campus and everyone knew who he was. He was involved in so many different groups and activities. I never saw hipocrecy in his way of life and the way he treated others. After his death I saw how so many people started to share on social media the impact he had in their lives. Even now, months after his passing away people still remember the great life he lived and the impact he had on so many.

During my most recent trip to Europe I had a sudden health complication which led me to see an ER in the Netherlands. I thought I was going to die that night or that I was going to be diagnosed with a terminal disease. One of the things that came through my mind was “if I die today or within a month, will people remember me as somebody who marked their lives? As they did with him” I struggled to answer that question…

Thankfully the health issue was not as serious as I thought and I was able to get better once I got back to my home country. When I started thinking about the question I struggled to answer, I knew I needed to do something about it… I started thinking what I was good at and how I could impact everyone I get in contact with… one of the things that is easy to me is getting motivated in the day to day. Sharing smiles and making people laugh. I grew up with little which let me to appreciate and value people and not things. My idea is to share all of that through everything I do. This site will contain thoughts and feelings I believe can help and motivate at least one person in the entire world. Then I will feel I’ve left a mark behind.
